Freshman shortstop, Khristin Kyllo, pasted away early Thursday morning in her dorm room. The cause of her sudden death is being ruled as natural causes, but likely linked closely to her ongoing struggle with a seizure condition she developed only a year ago. Her parents, teammates, fellow students and all levels of the campus community gathered on Thursday evening in Murray-Dodge Hall to share memories and reflect. The overflowing attendance and intimate stories about Khristin's joy, passion for softball, love of life, positive energy, contagious laughter and optimism allowed us all to share our love for her.
We loved Khristin for her quirky nature, ridiculous antics, fierce determination as an athlete and live-out-loud way of living each day to the fullest. Her desire to get better as a young woman, teammate and softball player made her a joy to coach everyday. Her memory will leave a lasting imprint on the Princeton Softball program, her teammates, her Forbes College mates and the Princeton University Community as a whole for years to come.
