What a wonderful testament to Khristin's character and the value of teammates. I read it twice: once through the eyes of a former player and once through the eyes of a parent. I'm not sure which reading evoked more emotion, but evoke emotions it did. Thank you, Lizzy, for painting for us a beautiful picture of this amazing young lady. In this age of big money athletics, you remind us of why many play: for the love of the game, the camaraderie, and the anecdotal evidence that sports can transcend evil if only we allow it to.
