The Princeton Softball family has been taking the field and
gearing up for the upcoming weekend of games. Starting September 15th,
the team has been training hard in the weight room with their fantastic
strength and conditioning coach, Angie, where they are becoming stronger and
quicker everyday. On the field, the team has been hustling to improve and
further develop their skills. One week of hard work came to fruition as the
team played their first inter-squad scrimmage. Team Black battled from the
first base dugout and Team Orange fought from the third base dugout. After
three hours of good competition, Team Orange pulled away with the victory! Both
teams, however, showed incredible fight and progress! After this upcoming week
of workouts and practices Princeton Softball will be competing in their first official
fall games against La Salle and Saint Joseph's. The double header will take place
during the Carol Weil Tournament in Allentown, Pa. Games will be played at
12:15 and 3:15 on Saturday.
In addition to showing their heart on the field over the
last week, the Princeton community came together on Saturday September 22nd,
for Collegians for the Cure 5K.
Collegians for the Cure, benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, is a
5K run/walk that was held on the Princeton University campus with the primary
goal of raising money for breast cancer research. The Tigers Softball Program was honored to be
a part of this event and finished the three-mile run in high spirits!
Check back after this weekend of games to see how your
Tigers fared on the Field! GO TIGERS!
