Home for the Holidays

Winter break is finally upon us! Just as the snow covered the ground and the real winter winds began to blow the students of Princeton have all departed for home!

Individuals have come to an end and great strides were made.  For two hours every week each Tiger dedicated their time to improving their defensive and offensive game. In addition, the Tigers spent four hours growing stronger and faster with #Angie. Each Tiger has improved various aspects of their game and worked incredibly hard to keep the great Uncle Mo (that’s Uncle Momentum)on their side during the long days in The Pit.

Helping to improve this year’s competitive nature the Tigers engaged in a plus minus chart.  Each Tiger was given a challenge every work out. If a challenge was completed successfully they received a +1. If a challenge was failed the Tiger received a -1. As usual competitive spirits flew. As individuals progressed we could hear more “Coach can I have a 2 point challenge to make-up for one,” or  “let’s make a deal.” That’s right everyone,you can’t help but love Tigers who are willing to fight for what they want.

Off the field and out of the classroom the Tigers have had other great opportunities. For example, Tiger Softball Alumni met with the current team in November for the first of many Alumni Career Panels. Alumni including 2013 graduates Liza Kuhn, Alex Peyton, Lizzy Peirce, Candy Button,and 2010 graduate Collette Abbott gave of their time to educate the team on how to network, interview, write resumes, and much more. We were thrilled to be able to hear about their professional journeys.

Tigers also spent the fall and winter months giving back to the community.  I would allow this team to wrap any of my Christmas gifts wouldn’t you!?

As you all prepare to celebrate the Holiday Season the Princeton Softball Program would like to wish you and yours a very merry and blessed Holiday Season!

P.S. If you want to ask Santa for anything this year I wouldn’t mind if we all asked for a ring…and Ivy Ring that is!
