It is official the Tigers have finished their 2013 Fall
Season and now head into the off-season ready to work! The season was filled
with multiple challenges, freshman breakout moments, and team renewal. During the
fall the Tigers competed against the St. Joseph’s Hawks, the Iona Gaels, and
the Blue Hens from the University of Delaware. While the scorecards may not have
read in favor of the Tigers there were lessons learned and opportunities for growth presented. The Tigers
are ready to push limits and prepare for a successful season in March!
Off of the field the Tigers have remained committed to the goals of community development and personal growth. For the second year in a row the Tiger
Softball team participated in the Collegians for the Cure 5K. All event proceeds benefited the Susan G.
Komen Foundation.
Speaking of annual events, the Softball Program held their
second Friends of Softball BBQ this fall. We were graced with not only family
and friends of the current team but were also joined by Class of '01 Friends of
Softball Board member, Devon Keefe Wible, and team Academic-Athletic Fellow DEAN
of Wilson College, Anne Casewell-Klein. Food, Friends, and Fellows what could
be better!
Lastly, one of the shinning and most…interesting moments of
this fall…winning the dance off against the University of Delaware.
That’s right, I said dance off. If you are interested in seeing what kind of
moves this team has off the field and on the “dance floor” check out our
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PrincetonSoftball
Check back later this fall and winter and learn more about
our Freshman Class through spotlight introductions! From the Office in Jadwin
Gym, this is Tiger Softball over and out!
