The Tigers finished off the Maryland Round Robin with a 9-4 win against Rhode Island today. Princeton struck first in the 2nd inning when Alex Peyton led off with a single to right field followed by a single from Candy Button and an RBI single from Tory Roberts. The Tigers exploded for 8 runs in the 4th off of an RBI single from Button, a 3 run home run from Sarah McGowan, a 2 run home run from Alyssa Schmidt and another 2 run home run from Peyton. Meredith Brown got the start in the circle and pitched 4 scoreless innings while striking out 7, before giving up 3 runs in the 5th. Liza Kuhn came on in relief giving up 2 hits and striking out 4.

The Tigers will be back in action this Friday when they travel to Sacramento, California to start their spring break trip at the Capital Classic.
